How to apply your temporary tā moko
What you’ll need
- Cloth, a towel, or a sponge
- A little bit of water
- Scissors (depending on design)
Let’s Get Started
Step 1 Find where you want to apply your tā moko. When you have found the perfect spot peel the plastic off.
Step 2 Put the paper on your body with the tā moko side on your skin. Apply pressure evenly. (If you don’t get it on the right spot the first time don't worry, it will still work. Peel it off and stick it where you want it to go, even if it's not sticky anymore.)
Step 3 Get your cloth, towel or sponge wet and dab over the entire paper. Make sure you fully soak the paper. Hold this for 30-60 seconds.
Step 4 Peel the paper off and check out your new temporary tā moko!
Kua oti! All done! It will stay on for 5 – 7 days with normal wear-and-tear.
